02-06-08 A few folks out there have been asking me what has been going on and why haven’t I been updating my news section.  Well, as many of you know I have a hard time just answering me email let alone updating my website, but I wanted to take some time to just give folks a few updates.  First, I got engaged this summer and we are planning to get married this August.  My play (New Street Poets) is going well.  We have an offer to do the show is Harlem, NYC this May.  We can not confirm anything yet, but please check www.newstreetpoets.com for updates (thank God Justin Woo updates that site and not me).  There is also a mailing list on the New Street Poets site that everyone can join.  I am also keeping my real estate company afloat in this challenging market.  Thank you all for the support. Peace - LeDerick

05-29-07 For a little over a year I have been working with six other artist on a spoken word play called New Street Poets.  We were just informed that our play has been accepted into this year’s NYC Fringe Festival!  Plays that do well in the Fringe can end up having a run on or off Broadway.  In the days to follow I will be sending out emails to let everyone know the exact location and dates the play will be shown.  But I do know that it will be shown at some point during August 10th through the 26th.  Please check back for updates and wish me luck. - LeDerick

12-04-06 I just wanted to thank everyone who has been stopping by this website and my myspace page.  The year is almost over and I have made a resolution to stay on top of updating the site.  Please check-in regularly for updates and news.  Thanks again for all your support and happy holidays. - LeDerick

12-01-06 Just got home from a two-day training with the state youth leadership board in Wisconsin.  Despite it being 14 degrees when I left Madison, the training went great!  Jonathan Mooney and I are very excited to be a part of this state wide initiative to meaningfully involve youth with disabilities in systems that service them.  The board worked very hard and I think we have laid a strong foundation for the years to come.

02-17-06 I just wanted to say I had a great time at the Voice of the People’s Poetic Tribute for Black History Month.  I was really moved by all the talented folks who came out and preformed.  I am looking forward to the next Voice of the People’s event at the B&N in North Brunswick, which is going down on March 17th in honor of Women’s History Month.  Check out my event’s page for more details.  Keep up the good work Brother Terrill!

12-18-05 Wanted to thank Brother MbaHeru for inviting me out to Full Spectrum’s Open Mic last night. It was a great time with some great poets. Please come out and support this venue. They have it on the 3rd Saturday of every month at 9:00pm. Full Spectrum is at 129 East Front Street, Plainfield, NJ.

11-27-05 Due to the extremely positive support for the poem Bound by the Word, the folks at Certified Organik are working on several remixes of the track. These remixes will be provided by some of the worlds hottest DJ. You can expect these new versions of the poem to be released within the first quarter of 2006!
